Our Mission

Our goal is to protect the future of Courtyard Estates and its residents. As one of the few affordable housing options for senior citizens in Columbus, Ohio that is conducive to independent living, Courtyard is a vital asset to our community.

There’s no better people to decide Courtyard’s future than its residents. That’s why self-ownership––residents buying out the property their mobile homes sit on––is so important. The seniors already own their manufactured homes, so they need to acquire the land their homes are on (which they’re currently renting) to allow them to continue living where they are. In this ideal scenario, the land would not be used by predatory developers who believe in profit over people.

The land would be owned by its residents instead of a faceless corporation, as it should be.
